When working with someone looking to buy a new home, one of the best things we can do for them in the beginning is to set up an auto-search. In this post, we want to show you what this looks like from our end, and we want you to see what the result looks like from your end. First, let’s look at your search options.
Next, let’s take a look at the types of listings we’ll be sending and how you may be a bit confused by what you find on Zillow and Trulia. Some listings that are technically on the market are also under contract — sites like Zillow are very slow to update this type of information. Generally speaking, we will set up the auto-search to only send you listings that are on the market AND available; that is, the search will not send you listings that are under contract. This short video gives a bit more detail.
We have the option to set up the auto-search to send you listings instantly, as they come available, or we can set scheduled times.
Finally, let’s take a look at an actual search. In the following video, we will also show you an example ’MySite’ page (where you will view the listings sent to you).
